Now that technology has finally enabled true browser capability in a phone with a pretty hefty hard drive, that can play your favorite music, display your photos very nicely, etc... it's getting harder and harder to justify hooking up the PC to the internet unless it's through the iPhone or similar device. Say you need to update your PC's Photoshop software, just bluetooth sync it to the iPhone and do it to it. Now, I doubt that's possible right now, I could be wrong... but geez, maybe that's another reason why Apple changed its name today from Apple Computers to just Apple. It probably won't be long until the iPhone or it's progeny are so powerful that you simply sync to your favorite monitor, printer, keyboard, whatever, so that the iPhone can have the dual role of "home computer." Now... that may be a little too much since I'd hate to absent-mindedly leave my home computer in a public restroom, but you get the idea... so much potential.
Anyway, wow, can't wait until Sprint gets in on the iPhone, if not soon enough I'll leave them when my contract is out to get the iPhone. Unless they try to screw people over by not having "anytime" or unlimited evening minutes, or some other outrageous fee that discourages my carefree surfing of the internet with the phone. Anyway, by the time I get the phone (I'll wait over a year) all that should be sorted out... wishful thinking I know, but ya never know.
