Daschle apologizes

Daschle apologizes, fights to salvage nomination: "The former Senate Democratic leader, expressed his remorse in a letter to the Finance Committee, saying he was 'deeply embarrassed and disappointed' about what he said was an unintentional failure to pay taxes that he owed. He recently filed amended returns for 2005-07 to report $128,203 in back taxes and $11,964 in interest."

You can tell when he lies, his lips start moving.

Sorry Charlie, err Tom, but stupid mistakes are for stupid people, so I don't believe it was unintentional at all. 130,000 in gifts or compensation is a topic that gets discussed when you talk to your tax-guy. You simply took advantage of something that could have been viewed ambiguously in an audit, only to realize recently that it could screw you up with receiving a cabinet position. That was greed, you should pray about it regardless of whether you get confirmation. I'll pray about my only interest, sexy women. ;)
